The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Heintje Joinvilense was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jonathan Bernaldo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. The supporters of Northern California booed when Lα Sυв 21 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustino Ciceron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Northern California's Santos Mino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Teyo in the 13th minute of play. Lα Sυв 21 were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Northern California's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gilberto Lizar took the corner. The corner led to Lα Sυв 21's Gilberto Lizar getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Santos Mino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Teyo in the 18th minute of the match. Santos Mino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Teyo in the 19th minute of play. Augusto Teyo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santos Mino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Gaudencio Ubarna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 30 minutes, Faustino Ciceron mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lα Sυв 21 and the Northern California players grew even worse after the yellow card. Faustino Ciceron hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 31 played minutes Lα Sυв 21 got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Ubarna. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timoteo Frisco got free with Heintje Joinvilense in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute Leandro Haritzeder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heintje Joinvilense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heintje Joinvilense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Bernaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Bernaldo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Heintje Joinvilense came out and tried to block the shot, but Jonathan Bernaldo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 45th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Santos Mino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Teyo in the 51st minute of play. Lα Sυв 21 made a substitution. Lucio Ourente replaced Augusto Teyo. Lα Sυв 21 made a substitution. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Northern California's goalkeeper Santos Mino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 70th minute Lucio Ourente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Mino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes Lα Sυв 21 got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Markel. After 73 minutes of play, Northern California's Jonathan Bernaldo made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Heintje Joinvilense was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lucio Ourente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Santos Mino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucio Ourente did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-2 to the left of a surprised Santos Mino 79 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucio Ourente in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Mino saved Northern California from getting behind. In the 85th minute Lα Sυв 21 were awarded a corner. Rolando Orti went to the cornerflag to take it. Santos Mino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucio Ourente's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. After some careless play in the Northern California defense, Lucio Ourente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santos Mino. The Northern California fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santos Mino should have stopped the shot. Santos Mino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascual Markel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Haritzeder took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heintje Joinvilense. Heintje Joinvilense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3.
