Segundo Urtun hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Juan José Ferraro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenio Chumo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Club Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Juan José Ferraro 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Juan José Ferraro put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Eugenio Chumo. The crowd rose to their feet as Juan José Ferraro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eugenio Chumo. That made the score 3-0 in the 22 minute of play. Ernesto Fernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan José Ferraro in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugenio Chumo saved Club Sportivo Italiano from getting behind. When Ernesto Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the GuateFortín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Fernandez couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the game, Ernesto Fernandez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Eugenio Chumo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ernesto Fernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugenio Chumo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Club Sportivo Italiano booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Bonilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Abraham Santamaria. In the 97th minute of the match Segundo Urtun shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Navarro Montoya showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. GuateFortín's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
