Alba FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Fossum was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 26 minutes into the game, AFK Petržalka's Martin Fossum nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andrea Banana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Miroslav Čorej came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the AFK Petržalka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miroslav Čorej couldn't finish the play. Andrea Banana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Fossum in the 38th minute of the match. Martin Fossum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlo Sisti to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, AFK Petržalka's Martin Fossum sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrea Banana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martin Fossum really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. 59 minutes into the match, Alba FC's goalkeeper Andrea Banana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Fossum.
