Amado Maurin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asensio Mendoza in the 19th minute of the match. Amadeo Hitzeder kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. When Bustos Teijeira fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taltum FC's protests and gave Bustos Teijeira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Taltum FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Bustos Teijeira hit a great ball. Bernardo Ares charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a rather tough play, Taltum FC's Arévalo Lidon got a free kick in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Asensio Mendoza in the 58th minute of play forced Loco De Remate's goalkeeper Amado Maurin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Loco De Remate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Asensio Mendoza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Taltum FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafael Ilardia should have stopped the shot. Amado Maurin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ordóñez Cuesta in the 72nd minute of play. In the 79th minute of the match, Justino Abaurre tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rafael Ilardia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 80th minute Justino Abaurre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Ilardia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 1-4 became the score in the 83rd minute when Justino Abaurre elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
