Kent Remme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferdinand Horhoianu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionuț Gane in the 11th minute of play forced AEK FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Knudsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferdinand Horhoianu made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Kent Remme sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 13 in the game by Kent Remme from a close distance when the talented Ferdinand Horhoianu managed to make a qualified save. Purcaresti CSS's players were relieved. Ferdinand Horhoianu had great luck who in the 16thth minute grab hold of the ball when Kent Remme from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Kenneth Knudsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezar Novăceanu in the 23rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kent Remme in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferdinand Horhoianu saved Purcaresti CSS from getting behind. Ferdinand Horhoianu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Remme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Purcaresti CSS's goalkeeper Ferdinand Horhoianu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonard Sandvær. In the 32nd minute, Eugen Tiberiu made a precise shot to the right of Kenneth Knudsen. AEK FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kent Remme in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferdinand Horhoianu saved Purcaresti CSS from getting behind. Ferdinand Horhoianu was a little too slow when Kent Remme got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 1-1. 43 minutes into the match, AEK FC's Erland Slyngstad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ferdinand Horhoianu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kent Remme hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Eugen Tiberiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Kenneth Knudsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferdinand Horhoianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Remme in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cezar Novăceanu made a kick off. Ferdinand Horhoianu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Sandvær in the 51st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Kent Remme's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ferdinand Horhoianu was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. The corner ended in Cornelius Bjørgo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Purcaresti CSS's Ferdinand Horhoianu did a great save. After 68 minutes, Kent Remme made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Purcaresti CSS's Ferdinand Horhoianu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When AEK FC's Kent Remme in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Purcaresti CSS's goalie prevented a goal. After 80 minutes, Kent Remme made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Purcaresti CSS's Ferdinand Horhoianu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Kent Remme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinand Horhoianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Remme, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Purcaresti CSS's zone, Leonard Sandvær stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinand Horhoianu came out of the goal and Leonard Sandvær tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AEK FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
