Zeca Queiroz came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Gustavo-Hernán Egoi. But to his dismay, Gustavo-Hernán Egoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gustavo-Hernán Egoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeca Queiroz having to make a save. Zeca Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo-Hernán Egoi in the 8th minute of the match. After 9 minutes Barrenta SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aaron Jokin who took care of the corner kick. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Wilfredo Bieito was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zeca Queiroz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Barrenta SC's Zeca Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo-Hernán Egoi in the 12th minute of play. Kepa Arrizabalaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mário Damião got free with Kepa Arrizabalaga in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustavo-Hernán Egoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo-Hernán Egoi in the 16th minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Zeca Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Valadares hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. If Gustavo-Hernán Egoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo-Hernán Egoi in the 21st minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Zeca Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Pedro Ochoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Gustavo-Hernán Egoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeca Queiroz. Barrenta SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo-Hernán Egoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Kepa Arrizabalaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Vaz in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the Barrenta SC defense, Gustavo-Hernán Egoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeca Queiroz. The Barrenta SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeca Queiroz should have stopped the shot. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Barrenta SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aaron Jokin took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Aaron Jokin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zeca Queiroz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Gustavo-Hernán Egoi in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barrenta SC's goalie prevented a goal. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Kepa Arrizabalaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka from getting a goal against them. In the 45thth minute of the game Gustavo-Hernán Egoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barrenta SC's Zeca Queiroz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Ochoa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kepa Arrizabalaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Damião in the 52nd minute of the match. If Gustavo-Hernán Egoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gustavo-Hernán Egoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Zeca Queiroz made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Gustavo-Hernán Egoi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zeca Queiroz. That made the score 0-4 after 57 minutes of play. Paulo Mello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kepa Arrizabalaga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Kepa Arrizabalaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Paulo Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka made a substitution. Bengt-Arne Åberg replaced Gustavo-Hernán Egoi. After a rather tough play, Barrenta SC's Paulo Mello got a free kick in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Mello in the 67th minute of play forced Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka made a substitution. Leon Trotskiy replaced Iker Eneko. In the 75th minute, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Bengt-Arne Åberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Zeca Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt-Arne Åberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the match, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Damião came free, but Kepa Arrizabalaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Bengt-Arne Åberg made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeca Queiroz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Zeca Queiroz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 87th minute, Bengt-Arne Åberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zeca Queiroz. The goal made the score 0-8. 92 minutes into the match, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Alberto came free, but Kepa Arrizabalaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt-Arne Åberg did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-9 to the left of a surprised Zeca Queiroz 94 minutes into the match. The Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
