A sloppy throw-in by Paulão Salgado in the 4th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Wilfredo Bieito. Zeca Queiroz was a little too slow when Gustavo-Hernán Egoi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. 11 minutes into the game, Luiz Fábio Lima cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Generoso Gonzalez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zeca Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Gustavo-Hernán Egoi sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Gustavo-Hernán Egoi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zeca Queiroz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 23rd match minute, Barrenta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fábio Lima to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute Pedro Ochoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo-Hernán Egoi in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeca Queiroz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 30 minutes into the match, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fábio Lima came free, but Generoso Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Barrenta SC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Marcos Cruz hit a great ball. Zeca Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Jokin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Ke Xun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gustavo-Hernán Egoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo-Hernán Egoi got free with Zeca Queiroz in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 40 played minutes Barrenta SC got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Salgado. With a little luck, Barrenta SC's Zeca Queiroz got control of the ball when Gustavo-Hernán Egoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Cosme Mendebal hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Fábio Lima to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Barrenta SC's zone, Gustavo-Hernán Egoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeca Queiroz came out of the goal and Gustavo-Hernán Egoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 51st minute Gustavo-Hernán Egoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustavo-Hernán Egoi in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeca Queiroz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's Rauno Rank got a free kick in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustavo-Hernán Egoi in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeca Queiroz saved Barrenta SC from getting behind. Gustavo-Hernán Egoi scored 3-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zeca Queiroz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 64th match minute, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Jokin to maneuver through the defense. Barrenta SC made a substitution. Joel Sabóia replaced Evandro Vaz. Barrenta SC's Yuri Alberto was substituted for Luiz Fábio Lima. After 70 minutes, Bengt-Arne Åberg made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Barrenta SC's Zeca Queiroz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 75th play minutes Bengt-Arne Åberg shot 5-1, a short shot which went by Zeca Queiroz and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 82nd minute Bengt-Arne Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's goalkeeper Generoso Gonzalez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mário Damião. In the 87th minute, Bengt-Arne Åberg made a precise shot to the right of Zeca Queiroz. Barrenta SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. Generoso Gonzalez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yuri Alberto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-3 in the 91 minute of play. Sportivo Smirnoff Vodka's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
