With his leg Christiano Arce managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when S.D. Bajen's Woodrow Baggett fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Diguinho Gaúcho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Swain read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Woodrow Baggett might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christiano Arce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Woodrow Baggett ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adrian Murillo during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when S.D. Bajen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Murillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Diguinho Gaúcho came free, but Luis Swain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15thth minute of the game Diguinho Gaúcho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.D. Bajen's Luis Swain was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Blair Lusk scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christiano Arce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 34 minutes, Blair Lusk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.D. Bajen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blair Lusk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute S.D. Bajen were awarded a corner. Blair Lusk went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Blair Lusk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Christiano Arce quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Adrian Murillo hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Adrian Murillo made in the 46th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Damian Callahan however managed to control.

In the 52nd minute, Diguinho Gaúcho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Diguinho Gaúcho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Luis Swain skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fernandinho Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Swain having to interfere. Edmílson da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Fernandinho Negri charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernandinho Negri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Fernandinho Negri got a free kick in the 58th minute. Damian Callahan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christiano Arce. SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diguinho Gaúcho in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luis Swain prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64th minute, Diguinho Gaúcho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luis Swain. The goal made the score 1-1. S.D. Bajen's Darius Seals was substituted for Jorge Baez. S.D. Bajen made a substitution. Pete Maxwell replaced Troy Cabourne. In the 71st minute, Larry Jackson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When SORRISO E. C.'s Diguinho Gaúcho in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.D. Bajen's goalie prevented a goal. Luis Swain dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After 88 minutes, Diguinho Gaúcho made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. S.D. Bajen's Luis Swain tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. SORRISO E. C.'s Christiano Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Woodrow Baggett in the 94th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SORRISO E. C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
