Wawrzyniec Sawicki might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beppe Savoia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wawrzyniec Sawicki ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wawrzyniec Sawicki in the 11th minute of play forced Carloforte f.c.'s goalkeeper Beppe Savoia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wawrzyniec Sawicki in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beppe Savoia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Beppe Savoia was a little too slow when Wawrzyniec Sawicki got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. Wawrzyniec Sawicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beppe Savoia having to interfere. With a little luck, Carloforte f.c.'s Beppe Savoia got control of the ball when Wawrzyniec Sawicki tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Carloforte f.c.'s goalkeeper Beppe Savoia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wawrzyniec Sawicki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beppe Savoia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After taking down the ball on Powiśle Warszawa's corner Ryan Giggs fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Beppe Savoia quite easily take care of the ball. Wawrzyniec Sawicki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Beppe Savoia having to make a save. 30 minutes into the match, Powiśle Warszawa's Wawrzyniec Sawicki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Beppe Savoia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 36 minutes of play, Carloforte f.c.'s Amedeo Orioli made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boguslaw Jucha was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee felt a red card was in order, 44 minutes into the game, when Cezary Ikalewicz put in a rough tackle. In the 43rd minute, one of Powiśle Warszawa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Powiśle Warszawa. Boguslaw Jucha had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Armin Scotti's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Armin Scotti notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Powiśle Warszawa's Boguslaw Jucha. Boguslaw Jucha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wawrzyniec Sawicki to make the kick off.
