Carlos Miguel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Václav Plášil, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund MZB booed when FC Kopeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josef Slepička didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matheus Savioli was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 30th minute. Borussia Dortmund MZB's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund MZB getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Paulo Ceresso hit a great ball. In the 32nd match minute, Borussia Dortmund MZB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válter Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. Tomáš Berousek was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 35th match minute, Borussia Dortmund MZB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. František Žiga struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Carlos Miguel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Kopeto. When Dan Sviták fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Kopeto's protests and gave Dan Sviták a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund MZB booed when FC Kopeto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Sviták didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Miguel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zdeněk Skalník's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Václav Plášil in the 43rd minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund MZB's goalkeeper Carlos Miguel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zdeněk Skalník received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Carlos Miguel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

FC Kopeto's Koloman Hajšman was substituted for Jakub Dominik. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matheus Savioli made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, FC Kopeto's Zdeněk Skalník nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Miguel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Koloman Hajšman hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 60 played minutes Borussia Dortmund MZB got a freekick which was hit by Válter Dionísio. When Borussia Dortmund MZB's Giuseppe Castro in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Kopeto's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Castro in the 64th minute of play forced FC Kopeto's goalkeeper Benjamin Řeha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Řeha came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Borussia Dortmund MZB's Giuseppe Castro. But to his dismay, Giuseppe Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by František Žiga in the 74th minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund MZB's goalkeeper Carlos Miguel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Schmelzer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd match minute, FC Kopeto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomáš Berousek to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund MZB getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Marcel Schmelzer hit a great ball. Borussia Dortmund MZB's Carlos Miguel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Václav Plášil in the 88th minute of play. Zdeněk Skalník recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oscar Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. František Žiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Carlos Miguel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
