An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Chago in the 5th minute of play forced XMAS's goalkeeper Armando Polidori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafin Lalla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberigo Gianfrancesco in the 6th minute of the match. CAI NEUQUEN's Serafin Lalla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save CAI NEUQUEN from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute, Alvaro Aversano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damian Barea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Polidori having to interfere. Serafin Lalla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 29 minutes of play, XMAS's Ernesto Minichiello made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafin Lalla was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 32nd minute Alberigo Gianfrancesco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Lalla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. CAI NEUQUEN's Serafin Lalla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberigo Gianfrancesco in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute Edelmiro Chago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Polidori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Edelmiro Chago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alvaro Aversano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Serafin Lalla made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
