The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deen Castronovo got free with Leontin Burca in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute of the match Ogro F.C. got a corner. BVB 09's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Josh Freese ran over to the corner to take the kick. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by BVB 09's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Josh Freese was slow to take the kick. During this time Ogro F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ogro F.C.'s Josh Freese to fire away a dangerous shot which Leontin Burca despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of BVB 09 booed when Ogro F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingo Schwichtenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind BVB 09's goalkeeper Leontin Burca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kiko Freitas during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leontin Burca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deen Castronovo in the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to BVB 09 getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Gigel Răduța hit a great ball. Pedro Paulo Penha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gigel Răduța in the 70th minute. Leontin Burca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deen Castronovo, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the match, Mike Terrana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leontin Burca. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ogro F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while BVB 09 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
