Barra Gol came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken. But to his dismay, Guido Vissenaeken quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Vigil got free with Vítor Baia in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the game, Dacian Hrean threw the ball into play from the sideline. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Waldemar Niedziela quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Barra Gol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Vissenaeken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of PEÇONHENTO FC MG:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Brugge United:s goal. If Emanuel Vigil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emanuel Vigil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emanuel Vigil in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vítor Baia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Barra Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaspar Van Den Broeck in the 33rd minute of play. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's attentive Waldemar Niedziela managed to snatch the ball when Dacian Hrean made a throw-in in the 34th minute of the game. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th match minute, PEÇONHENTO FC MG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Delassus to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of PEÇONHENTO FC MG booed when Brugge United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dacian Hrean didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernandinho Galvão hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Barra Gol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. PEÇONHENTO FC MG made a substitution. Peter Paul Crouch replaced Emanuel Vigil. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Fabiano Munhoz was substituted for Fernandinho Galvão. After a defensive mix-up in PEÇONHENTO FC MG's zone, Arnauld Van Impe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barra Gol came out of the goal and Arnauld Van Impe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barra Gol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnauld Van Impe went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. After 84 played minutes Brugge United got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Gaúcho. 85 minutes into the match, Peter Paul Crouch notched a goal, 2-6, to the right of Brugge United's Vítor Baia.
