The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Tirant lo Blanch fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Tirant lo Blanch's Joris Scheer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 10th minute, Ferdi Saksø reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kamal Pahlevi. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 20thth minute of the game Joris Scheer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 20 played minutes Zemantauskas FC got a freekick which was hit by William Cavalcante. 22 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's Joris Scheer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Augusto Arósio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute Joris Scheer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Cavalcante made in the 25th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Tirant lo Blanch's García Diez. After some careless play in the Zemantauskas FC defense, Joris Scheer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Augusto Arósio. The Zemantauskas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Augusto Arósio should have stopped the shot. Carlos Augusto Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joris Scheer, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. A collision led to Zemantauskas FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Nilson Freire hit a great ball. If Pitin Vallejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joris Scheer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee gave Tirant lo Blanch a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by García Diez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio. 1-5. The supporters of Tirant lo Blanch booed when Zemantauskas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joris Scheer struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Carlos Augusto Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tirant lo Blanch. The audience was convinced that Joris Scheer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Augusto Arósio was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Ferdi Saksø made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joris Scheer got free with Carlos Augusto Arósio in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zemantauskas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-7. Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Zemantauskas FC from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute Joris Scheer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Zemantauskas FC's Eugênio Lima got a free kick in the 90th minute. García Diez, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Carmen Paniagua kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carlos Augusto Arósio. That made the score 1-8 in the 93 minute of play. Tirant lo Blanch's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
