Hornbosteler SV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dario Andreasen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dainius Jurkus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Enășoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute James Madison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dainius Jurkus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dainius Jurkus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cazimir Barbu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Madison in the 39th minute of play forced Hornbosteler SV's goalkeeper Dainius Jurkus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
