The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Damian Piechocki fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BYDGOSTIA's protests and gave Damian Piechocki a yellow card for diving instead. Damian Piechocki kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Zbyszko Leper made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Videl Pando sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of BYDGOSTIA booed when Hahay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Krzysztof Soroka didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ceferino Odol came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the BYDGOSTIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ceferino Odol couldn't finish the play. If Ceferino Odol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Hahay's zone, Patryk Zgonina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Espen Granerud came out of the goal and Patryk Zgonina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feliks Rykaczewski during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Feliks Rykaczewski kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Ceferino Odol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Espen Granerud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Odol in the 25th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, BYDGOSTIA's Ceferino Odol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Espen Granerud made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 34 played minutes Hahay got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Andryszyn. Espen Granerud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicklas Lindström, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Ceferino Odol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BYDGOSTIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ceferino Odol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roberts Lewandowski hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Walery Roman was the one to do the kick off. Espen Granerud didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ceferino Odol went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. BYDGOSTIA's Zbyszko Leper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Videl Pando in the 58th minute of play. Espen Granerud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicklas Lindström in the 71st minute of the match. Espen Granerud made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ceferino Odol in the 72nd minute. Hahay's Norbert Ciempa was substituted for Iwan Skaradoski. BYDGOSTIA made a substitution. Mariusz Warka replaced Dariusz Smuskiewicz. BYDGOSTIA's Olgierd Kowalski was substituted for Vladislav Sarafov. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hahay's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nicklas Lindström was slow to take the kick. During this time BYDGOSTIA's players had a chance to rest. 82 minutes into the match, BYDGOSTIA's goal looked a bit too open when Witalis Tamulewicz came free, but Zbyszko Leper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute, Roberts Lewandowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zbyszko Leper made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. BYDGOSTIA played a much better game than Hahay and deserved their victory. The Hahay players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
