The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a left leg Dalmo Saldanha saved Jovens Democratas MZC from getting behind. 34 minutes into the match, Abeluse Flow's Alano Quintana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dalmo Saldanha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stephan Braamhaar hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The supporters of Abeluse Flow booed when Jovens Democratas MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiquinho das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dalmo Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alano Quintana in the 38th minute of play. Dalmo Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Barroso in the 43rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alano Quintana in the 45th minute of play forced Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Dalmo Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48thth minute of the game Alano Quintana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jovens Democratas MZC's Dalmo Saldanha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Abeluse Flow were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Marcus Paes made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Ruy de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho Molina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Abeluse Flow's goal looked a bit too open when Ruy de Brito came free, but Nacho Molina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Marcus Paes made a precise shot to the right of Nacho Molina. Abeluse Flow's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Nacho Molina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico de Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Horia Voitiş during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The nice shot from Arsenio Bide in the 85thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Dalmo Saldanha had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 86 minutes into the match, Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Dalmo Saldanha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arsenio Bide. Nacho Molina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico de Sousa in the 92nd minute of the match.
