Doron Bantz was slow to take the kick. During this time Ricart Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ricart Futebol Clube's Doron Bantz to fire away a dangerous shot which Haji Sarap despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Ricart Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanildo Luis came free, but Andres Ekhi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andres Ekhi came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville City - FSCMZ's Geovanildo Luis. But to his dismay, Geovanildo Luis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Eusebio Hori hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Doron Bantz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Haji Sarap. Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Ricart Futebol Clube defense, Geovanildo Luis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andres Ekhi. The Ricart Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andres Ekhi should have stopped the shot.

Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanildo Luis in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Joinville City - FSCMZ's Marcel Nascimento got a free kick in the 61st minute. Joinville City - FSCMZ made a substitution. Horácio Abraão replaced Ronaldinho Gaucho. The supporters of Ricart Futebol Clube booed when Joinville City - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andres Ekhi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Santos in the 66th minute of the match. Emanuel Olisadebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the game, Tomás Reis threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ricart Futebol Clube's Reinaldo Palmeira quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Andres Ekhi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adhemar Santos went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 87 minutes into the match, Horácio Abraão notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi. Andres Ekhi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andres Ekhi came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville City - FSCMZ's Adhemar Santos. But to his dismay, Adhemar Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Andres Ekhi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horácio Abraão's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
