Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sandinense ADF's Burak Özdoğan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Breno Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Cordario in the 3rd minute of play. Velez Sarsfield's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Filomeno Montrell in the 4th minute. Velez Sarsfield's Erwin Huygens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Velez Sarsfield from getting a goal against them. Raimundo Guimarães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Erwin Huygens made a huge save. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sandinense ADF's goalkeeper Breno Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Augusto Cordario might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Breno Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto Cordario ran back to his position shaking his head. After 21 minutes of play, Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Breno Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Sandinense ADF's Alexandre Amaral got a free kick in the 27th minute. Gaston Ávila hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Burak Özdoğan might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erwin Huygens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Burak Özdoğan ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 35 minutes, Augusto Cordario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Velez Sarsfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Cordario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ando Averin hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 37 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Juvenal da Rocha came free, but Erwin Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 45 minutes, Juvenal da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandinense ADF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juvenal da Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raimundo Guimarães got free with Erwin Huygens in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Cordario to strike the kick off in the second half. Augusto Cordario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Breno Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto Cordario blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Breno Costa having to make a save. Augusto Cordario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Breno Costa made a huge save. Erwin Huygens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Burak Özdoğan's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. When Augusto Cordario came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Velez Sarsfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Cordario couldn't finish the play. Erwin Huygens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Burak Özdoğan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Sandinense ADF's Breno Costa got control of the ball when Augusto Cordario tried to sneak it across the goal line. Breno Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Cordario in the 63rd minute. Velez Sarsfield's Filomeno Montrell was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Breno Costa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 66 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Guimarães came free, but Erwin Huygens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Velez Sarsfield's Augusto Cordario got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Velez Sarsfield's Leandro Berti was substituted for Ignacio Berenguer. 73 minutes into the game, Alexandre Amaral threw the ball into play from the sideline. Velez Sarsfield's Marcos Pacifico quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Augusto Cordario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Breno Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute Raimundo Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Huygens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Augusto Cordario recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Breno Costa. Augusto Cordario showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Augusto Cordario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Breno Costa made a huge save. A well-hit corner resulted in Yiyo Bernal heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Augusto Cordario blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Breno Costa having to make a save. With a little luck, Sandinense ADF's Breno Costa got control of the ball when Augusto Cordario tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th minute, Yiyo Bernal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raimundo Guimarães took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Erwin Huygens. Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Velez Sarsfield's Ando Averin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Diego Belém in the 92 minute of the game. A collision led to Sandinense ADF getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Burak Özdoğan hit a great ball. Augusto Cordario came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Breno Costa could save by the left post. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Velez Sarsfield had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
