The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Shi Ming Sheng's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hílton Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Hílton Magalhães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shi Ming Sheng in the 13th minute. Hílton Magalhães didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Shi Ming Sheng went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Shi Ming Sheng in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hílton Magalhães, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Șerban Rușanu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Antônio Carlos Branco made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Stiinta-Univ.'s Benjamim Urbano. 28 minutes into the game, Valeriu Morovan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hílton Magalhães. Valeriu Morovan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Cássio Diniz struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Martin Crețu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Botinho FC. Hílton Magalhães was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Shi Ming Sheng showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 34 minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Hílton Magalhães successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Shi Ming Sheng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Nóbrega to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Stiinta-Univ. booed when Botinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilson Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Stiinta-Univ.'s Shi Ming Sheng got a free kick in the 61st minute. After 63 minutes, Shi Ming Sheng made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Botinho FC defense, Shi Ming Sheng kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hílton Magalhães. The Botinho FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hílton Magalhães should have stopped the shot. If Șerban Rușanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamim Urbano in the 75th minute of play. After 77 minutes, Shi Ming Sheng made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute Elari Jutt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s Viteazul Flore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hílton Magalhães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ivo Carvalho hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 91 minutes Viteazul Flore shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Hílton Magalhães when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. Antônio Carlos Branco made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Stiinta-Univ.'s Benjamim Urbano. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Stiinta-Univ. had won after a very even match.
