Jack-Peter Steffel charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jack-Peter Steffel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jack-Peter Steffel kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. SV Bad Harzburg's Tim Wiese played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mario Vauzelle in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by SV Bad Harzburg's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mario Vauzelle was slow to take the kick. During this time Les diables noirs's players had a chance to rest. Eckard Döngelli who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Martial Laude when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, SV Bad Harzburg's Maik Schmeltzer got a free kick in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Harald Fricker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SV Bad Harzburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Les diables noirs the free kick. After a rather tough play, SV Bad Harzburg's Harald Fricker got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 17th minute, Eckard Döngelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martial Laude made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Gideon Weber sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Vauzelle came free, but Tim Wiese reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Carrière in the 22nd minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Tim Wiese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Wiese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Vauzelle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, SV Bad Harzburg's Eckard Döngelli nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martial Laude made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 27th minute, Oscar Carrière made a precise shot to the right of Tim Wiese. SV Bad Harzburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. David Tamm hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Martial Laude showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gideon Weber, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 43 played minutes SV Bad Harzburg got a freekick which was hit by Jack-Peter Steffel. When Les diables noirs's Sam Bertholet in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SV Bad Harzburg's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gideon Weber in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martial Laude prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oscar Carrière made a kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Les diables noirs's Oscar Carrière made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tim Wiese was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 62nd minute Eugen Boedefeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martial Laude saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rocky Balboa in the 65th minute of play forced Les diables noirs's goalkeeper Martial Laude to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eckard Döngelli fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SV Bad Harzburg's protests and gave Eckard Döngelli a yellow card for diving instead. Eckard Döngelli kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Jack-Peter Steffel struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Martial Laude didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Bad Harzburg. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Oscar Carrière took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Tim Wiese to make any attempt to save it. Modeste Marquez's late challenge caught a SV Bad Harzburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Modeste Marquez helped the player get up and apologised. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Les diables noirs! In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for SV Bad Harzburg. Jack-Peter Steffel stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Martial Laude. 2-3. Les diables noirs's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
