With his leg Afonso Morais managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when KFC Oosthoven's Ignace Seveneijns fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignace Seveneijns got free with Afonso Morais in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. When Abílio Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Lauro's protests and gave Abílio Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Abílio Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 minutes of play FC Lauro's Abílio Aguiar was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Josef Sellekaers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Morais having to interfere. Wayne De Wilde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Gouveia in the 81st minute of the match. If Alípio Belém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Sellekaers in the 90th minute of play forced FC Lauro's goalkeeper Afonso Morais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Morais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Sellekaers in the 92nd minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Josef Sellekaers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Afonso Morais was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 95 played minutes KFC Oosthoven got a freekick which was hit by Dante Verhaeghen. When the final whistle sounded KFC Oosthoven left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Lauro.
