After 14 played minutes Alberto SC got a freekick which was hit by Urrutia Aizpurua. Franklin Monzon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urrutia Aizpurua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sarbelio Amaya during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Juan Santayana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Monzon having to interfere. Franklin Monzon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urrutia Aizpurua in the 39th minute of the match. Franklin Monzon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Urrutia Aizpurua went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 42 minutes into the game, Rogelio Porquera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Franklin Monzon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Misael Pineda hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Allan Canales made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urrutia Aizpurua in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franklin Monzon saved Wrex Phoenix from getting behind. Alberto SC were furious when Monge Galarreta was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 54th minute, one of Alberto SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Alberto SC. When Maximo Muños fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alberto SC's protests and gave Maximo Muños a yellow card for diving instead. Maximo Muños hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. When Allan Canales came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Wrex Phoenix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Canales couldn't finish the play. If Juan Santayana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Wrex Phoenix's Baltazar Messias got a free kick in the 74th minute. Tonio Olavarrieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sarbelio Amaya was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes had been played. After 87 played minutes Wrex Phoenix got a freekick which was hit by Sarbelio Amaya. In the 89th minute, Juan Santayana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Franklin Monzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Santayana in the 92nd minute of play. A collision led to Alberto SC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Rogelio Porquera hit a great ball. The supporters of Wrex Phoenix booed when Alberto SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lara Pedraja didn't get a good kick on the ball.
