Medianeira's Léo Lago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Medianeira from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the match Lorenzo Kellogg climbed in front of goal and pressed up 7-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Léo Lago. Lorenzo Kellogg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Léo Lago when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Léo Lago made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Camacho Santiago sent off a good shot on target. Léo Nascimento was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Evaristo Gaspar made the kick off in the second half. If Lorenzo Kellogg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Medianeira's Léo Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Kellogg in the 54th minute of play. Léo Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Kellogg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lorenzo Kellogg might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Léo Lago. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
