An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Sayveon in the 12th minute of play forced Isnardy's goalkeeper Monroe Franklin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as C.A. Quilmes's Froilan Eusko slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Monroe Franklin. That made the score 2-0 after 14 minutes of play. If Froilan Eusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Froilan Eusko in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Monroe Franklin saved Isnardy from getting behind. The supporters of Isnardy booed when C.A. Quilmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Källberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Douglas Parent during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Isnardy's Douglas Parent got a free kick in the 26th minute. Monroe Franklin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernabe Domenec in the 28th minute. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Froilan Eusko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Monroe Franklin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Parente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Monroe Franklin having to interfere. When Philip Hendricks fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Isnardy's protests and gave Philip Hendricks a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Philip Hendricks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Froilan Eusko scored 9-0 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Monroe Franklin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Monroe Franklin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonio Parente's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Monroe Franklin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Parente, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. C.A. Quilmes's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
