With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fermin Hulberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Afonso Morais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Eusko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Ricardo Liberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Morais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th match minute, C.A. Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernabe Domenec to maneuver through the defense. Antonio Parente came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Afonso Morais could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alípio Belém in the 23rd minute of play forced C.A. Quilmes's goalkeeper Fermin Hulberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, FC Lauro's Afonso Morais got control of the ball when Antonio Parente tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 45 minutes, Bernabe Domenec mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. Quilmes and the FC Lauro players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Bernabe Domenec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

A collision led to FC Lauro getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Kevin Corte-Real hit a great ball. Quilmes's goal looked a bit too open when Alcides Macedo came free, but Fermin Hulberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Parente scored 4-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonso Morais, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Afonso Morais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Liberto in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, C.A. Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gösta Källberg to maneuver through the defense. Afonso Morais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Eusko in the 82nd minute of the match. When C.A. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. C.A. Quilmes fully deserved thier win.
