The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oliver Palmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Misael Pineda in the 5th minute of the match. Wrex Phoenix's Franklin Monzon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phelim McLaughlin in the 32nd minute of play. Franklin Monzon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Batt Rogers showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 37 minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Enrique Carrillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrique Carrillo during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wrex Phoenix's goalkeeper Franklin Monzon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wrex Phoenix's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Batt Rogers was slow to take the kick. During this time Kindrohid's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Batt Rogers got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Franklin Monzon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Wrex Phoenix's zone, Phelim McLaughlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franklin Monzon came out of the goal and Phelim McLaughlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Franklin Monzon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Batt Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
