But to his dismay, Luiz Guilherme Paraense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Edvaldo Brasil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oséias Gerber in the 22nd minute. Flávio Reis did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Edvaldo Brasil 22 minutes into the match. In the 28th match minute, SAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilmar de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Armando Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agostinho Carneiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute of the match, Agostinho Carneiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carroll Hathaway saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Filip Bykowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Salles received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carroll Hathaway came out and tried to block the shot, but Edgar Salles slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 69th minute. Edvaldo Brasil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Velloso in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Júlio Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flávio Reis struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Edvaldo Brasil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sipo EC. Luiz Guilherme Madureira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Carroll Hathaway made a huge save. Sipo EC's Carroll Hathaway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Baiano in the 91st minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, SAS's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Prado came free, but Edvaldo Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
