Marco Rito hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Ferenc Puskás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silverio Dacio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tottenham Hotspurs fully deserved thier win.
