Mikolaj Jerzyk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucio Gabino might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mikolaj Jerzyk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zula Osielski charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zula Osielski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Newcastle United booed when the xeneise dream team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zula Osielski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andoni Paut hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Mikolaj Jerzyk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Habil Castolo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute.
