Luuk Meppelink made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulises Vimaro in the 6th minute of play. Ulises Vimaro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luuk Meppelink came out and tried to block the shot, but Ulises Vimaro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. In the 13th minute Ferdi Dekens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerard Kok might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dráusio Duarte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerard Kok ran back to his position shaking his head. After 19 played minutes Suttum FC got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Svingel. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerard Kok during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Suttum FC booed when Zijdewind SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerard Kok didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luuk Meppelink made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulises Vimaro in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Ulises Vimaro made a precise shot to the right of Luuk Meppelink. Zijdewind SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Zijdewind SC's Damien Schimmel got a free kick in the 28th minute. Luuk Meppelink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerjan Mos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luuk Meppelink showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerjan Mos in the 33rd minute of the match. Luuk Meppelink made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sjaak Borker in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Zijdewind SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerjan Mos came free, but Luuk Meppelink reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dick Trenning's late challenge caught a Zijdewind SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dick Trenning helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Zijdewind SC's Jan ter Averst got a free kick in the 40th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulises Vimaro to strike the kick off in the second half. Luuk Meppelink showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sjaak Borker in the 52nd minute of the match. Sjaak Borker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Suttum FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gerjan Mos hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Ulises Vimaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Daniël De Leeuw fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zijdewind SC's protests and gave Daniël De Leeuw a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Daniël De Leeuw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Suttum FC's Dráusio Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Suttum FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Suttum FC booed when Zijdewind SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniël De Leeuw didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elco Popping, 73 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 76 minutes into the game, Sjaak Borker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Luuk Meppelink was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luuk Meppelink took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerjan Mos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zijdewind SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Luuk Meppelink came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Suttum FC's Sjaak Borker. But to his dismay, Sjaak Borker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Suttum FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
