Nico de Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, MINEIROS's Naldo Baiano got a free kick in the 7th minute. Serginho Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giorgos Sarris, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. MINEIROS's Nico de Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maicon Quintal hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. The supporters of Seahawks V55 booed when MINEIROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilson de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, MINEIROS's Nico de Mendonça ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thomas Moschogiannis. Thomas Moschogiannis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Seahawks V55 getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Sokratis Providas hit a great ball. Maicon Quintal, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Seahawks V55's Thomas Moschogiannis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico de Mendonça in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of MINEIROS booed when Seahawks V55 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenios Stavrakoglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Moschogiannis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nico de Mendonça in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nico de Mendonça made a kick off. When Nilson de Souza fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MINEIROS's protests and gave Nilson de Souza a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes MINEIROS got a freekick which was hit by Nilson de Souza. The referee felt a red card was in order, 65 minutes into the game, when Nilson de Souza put in a rough tackle. In the 64th minute, one of MINEIROS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MINEIROS. MINEIROS's Serginho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgos Sarris in the 74th minute of play. If Vitinho Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, MINEIROS's Naldo Baiano got a free kick in the 78th minute. The supporters of Seahawks V55 booed when MINEIROS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Fernandes didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, MINEIROS's Serginho Taffarel got control of the ball when Petros Sarantos tried to sneak it across the goal line.
