An unexpectedly hard shot by Jess Haslett in the 26th minute of play forced Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Caetano Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corder Clubley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genílson de Queirós in the 27th minute of the match. The supporters of Icoara Football Club booed when Elderslie Magpies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Limmer didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thiago Zonta was the one to do the kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Valdo Lima put in a rough tackle. In the 62nd minute, one of Icoara Football Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Icoara Football Club. In the 67th minute, Thiago Zonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Jess Haslett had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caetano Monteiro. Icoara Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jess Haslett was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. 73 minutes into the match, Ed Skittrall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caetano Monteiro. Icoara Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. 92 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Triplett came free, but Caetano Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caetano Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ed Skittrall, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When the referee ended the match the Elderslie Magpies players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
