Maxi Nuñez kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Tipi Calderon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediberto Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Urtsin in the 16th minute of play forced Club Atletico Los Andes's goalkeeper Tipi Calderon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Kim Lekberg came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Club Atletico Los Andes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kim Lekberg couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the match, Kim Lekberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bayan Gugovski. Merengue FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kim Lekberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Kim Lekberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Los Andes's supporters rose to their feet, but Kim Lekberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bayan Gugovski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute Aquiles Urtsin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tipi Calderon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Los Andes's Melquiades Belo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Bayan Gugovski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kim Lekberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Kim Lekberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atletico Los Andes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ediberto Sampaio in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tipi Calderon saved Club Atletico Los Andes from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Kim Lekberg made the kick off in the second half. Kim Lekberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bayan Gugovski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Club Atletico Los Andes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomáš Lamačka in the 55th minute. In the 60th minute, Kim Lekberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bayan Gugovski was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Kim Lekberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Los Andes's Fabio Peli was substituted for Donald Trump. A hard shot 72 in the game by Ediberto Sampaio from a close distance when the talented Tipi Calderon managed to make a qualified save. Club Atletico Los Andes's players were relieved. Tipi Calderon stood somewhat misplaced when Ediberto Sampaio came free in front of goal and shot 4-2 to the left of him in the 72 minute. Club Atletico Los Andes's Kaj Skager was substituted for Kim Lekberg. 77 minutes into the match, Merengue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kaj Skager came free, but Bayan Gugovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Los Andes's Kaj Skager sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bayan Gugovski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Orlando Inautzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Bayan Gugovski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaj Skager might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bayan Gugovski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kaj Skager ran back to his position shaking his head. Merengue FC's Bayan Gugovski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaj Skager in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Kaj Skager made a precise shot to the right of Bayan Gugovski. Merengue FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. Bayan Gugovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaj Skager, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Club Atletico Los Andes were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Merengue FC for a fine match.
