Knut Västerberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but León Carbonell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, F.C Águias de Ouro's Knut Västerberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that León Carbonell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Knut Västerberg in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. A collision led to F.C Águias de Ouro getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Aníbal Alcântara hit a great ball. When Victorino Gorbea came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Choros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorino Gorbea couldn't finish the play. 1-0 became the score in the 43rd minute when Knut Västerberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. León Carbonell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Knut Västerberg in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Duro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Knut Västerberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. León Carbonell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lauro Mangueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrico Esteban in the 58th minute. In the 62nd minute of the match, Victorino Gorbea got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lauro Mangueira was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. León Carbonell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C Águias de Ouro. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The F.C Águias de Ouro fans cheered their team off the field, for while Choros FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
