Grêmio FBPA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zecku the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, Grêmio FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Cabral to maneuver through the defense. Ted Hoogenkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. David Miliano hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiph Biörling in the 10th minute of play forced Zecku's goalkeeper Petre Encuțescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Pipis Karapatakis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petre Encuțescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cássio Rocks in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jardel Sanches saved Grêmio FBPA from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Jardel Sanches had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cássio Rocks. 20 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Cássio Rocks came free, but Jardel Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivor Peake in the 24th minute of play. Cássio Rocks could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Jardel Sanches made a huge save. Jardel Sanches made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Cássio Rocks sent off a good shot on target. Petre Encuțescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Zecku's goal looked a bit too open when Filiph Biörling came free, but Petre Encuțescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Jardel Sanches had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cássio Rocks. Petre Encuțescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Pipis Karapatakis notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Zecku's Petre Encuțescu. Petre Encuțescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Petre Encuțescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filiph Biörling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grêmio FBPA were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Zecku's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pipis Karapatakis took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiph Biörling in the 45th minute of play forced Zecku's goalkeeper Petre Encuțescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jardel Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Rocks in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cássio Rocks to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Cássio Rocks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zecku's supporters rose to their feet, but Cássio Rocks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jardel Sanches breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Cássio Rocks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jardel Sanches was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Petre Encuțescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiph Biörling, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Pipis Karapatakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jardel Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Vaz in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Diamantino Cabral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cássio Rocks in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jardel Sanches saved Grêmio FBPA from getting behind. After 86 minutes of play, Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petre Encuțescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 92nd minute, Eriberto Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Rocks in the 94th minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Jardel Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute Zecku were awarded a corner. Wilfredo Lazcano went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Cássio Rocks managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When the final whistle sounded Grêmio FBPA left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zecku.
