C. were awarded a corner. Anaia Barba went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Salomone in the 13th minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Guga Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute of the match, Ronaldinho Romero got a very nice opportunity to score, but Berne Flesfadar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Edson Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guga Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Salomone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Cristiano Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 1-0 became the score in the 43rd minute when Edson Recife elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Guga Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Salomone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute of the game, Edson Recife landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 47 minutes into the game, Carmelo Jaunti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Black Mamba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexilhão F. C. the free kick. Mexilhão F. C.'s Romário Luz was substituted for Edson Recife. In the 49th match minute, Black Mamba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Jaunti to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabricio Salomone stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabricio Salomone in the 57th minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Guga Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafino Herena to maneuver through the defense. Anaia Barba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ronaldinho Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute Romário Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berne Flesfadar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danilo Brais hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Luz in the 73rd minute of play forced Black Mamba's goalkeeper Berne Flesfadar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Romário Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexilhão F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Romário Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Berne Flesfadar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mexilhão F. C.'s Romário Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th match minute, Black Mamba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Crispo to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match Anaia Barba sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Berne Flesfadar skillfully saved the ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Mexilhão F. C. got a corner. Black Mamba's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anaia Barba ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Mexilhão F. C.'s Arvin Larsson getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Black Mamba made a substitution. Juan Manuel Monti replaced Gencay Devrim. After 85 played minutes Mexilhão F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Anaia Barba. 88 minutes into the match, Black Mamba's goal looked a bit too open when Anaia Barba came free, but Berne Flesfadar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Black Mamba's Carmelo Jaunti got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Carmelo Jaunti off the ground.
