Alvi Boton's Nereo Jurgi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gheorghe Bociort in the 15th minute of play. In the 30th minute Gheorghe Bociort shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Jurgi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gheorghe Bociort struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Nereo Jurgi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C CLUJ MEDICINA. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gheorghe Bociort in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nereo Jurgi saved Alvi Boton from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Alvi Boton's zone, Iulian Nicorici stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nereo Jurgi came out of the goal and Iulian Nicorici tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nereo Jurgi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gheorghe Bociort, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The Alvi Boton players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA were winning 0-3.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermengildo Frances made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Frances came free, but Iacob Povară reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nereo Jurgi made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Gheorghe Bociort sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th minute, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Luca Pancu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nereo Jurgi. Nereo Jurgi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. If Gheorghe Bociort had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nereo Jurgi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Pancu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Francisc Ciocoiu was substituted for Iosif Găman. Anibal Lluciano hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Pancu in the 66th minute of play forced Alvi Boton's goalkeeper Nereo Jurgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Bociort in the 72nd minute of play forced Alvi Boton's goalkeeper Nereo Jurgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Gheorghe Bociort managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gheorghe Bociort was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Alvi Boton's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Bociort came free, but Nereo Jurgi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Bociort in the 94th minute of play forced Alvi Boton's goalkeeper Nereo Jurgi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gheorghe Bociort came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gheorghe Bociort couldn't finish the play. The Alvi Boton fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
