Eleuterio Claris scored 1-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernst Trumpf, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Monarrez FC's Pablo Artal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikolaus Spranger in the 25th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After having played for 51 minutes, Eleuterio Claris managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monarrez FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eleuterio Claris was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Domingos Bernal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the game, Fausto Cesaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Monarrez FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Magenta FC the free kick. The supporters of Magenta FC booed when Monarrez FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Cesaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute Marcel Koerlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Artal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gualterio Rudolfo came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Monarrez FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualterio Rudolfo couldn't finish the play. The referee ignored Magenta FC's protests and gave Matthäus Birnstiel a yellow card for diving instead. Monarrez FC made a substitution. Roman Jayvier replaced Eleuterio Claris. Ernst Trumpf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Bernal, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After 79 played minutes Magenta FC got a freekick which was hit by Eberhard Krughöfer. In the 83rd minute, Domingos Bernal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernst Trumpf was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. In the 86th match minute, Magenta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eberhard Krughöfer to maneuver through the defense. Domingos Bernal's late challenge caught a Magenta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Domingos Bernal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st minute, Nikolaus Spranger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Magenta FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-3. A collision led to Monarrez FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play.
