When Bacary Racine fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ranquet's protests and gave Bacary Racine a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, Bacary Racine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute Mathieu Oudart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernst Trumpf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Magenta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mathieu Oudart came free, but Ernst Trumpf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gustave Verot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernst Trumpf was relentless in the 49th minute of the game. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Hiller to strike the kick off in the second half. Nikolaus Spranger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yves Davesne having to interfere. Jason Delporte's late challenge caught a Magenta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jason Delporte helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, Ranquet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jason Delporte to maneuver through the defense. Bacary Racine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Ernst Trumpf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Magenta FC booed when Ranquet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathieu Oudart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathieu Oudart who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Ernst Trumpf when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nikolaus Spranger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yves Davesne having to make a save. Frank Hiller took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yves Davesne. Yves Davesne dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ranquet's Yves Davesne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikolaus Spranger in the 91st minute of play. If Gustave Verot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 minutes of play Ranquet's Jason Delporte was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Jason Delporte kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Nikolaus Spranger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Yves Davesne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
