An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Bernal in the 6th minute of play forced Panacán's goalkeeper Armando Jerrold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Panacán booed when Monarrez FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silverio Giro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Monarrez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Honesto came free, but Pablo Artal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panacán's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Eleuterio Claris scored to the left of an out of position Armando Jerrold, making the score, 1-0. Pablo Artal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Honesto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pablo Artal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Iraitz in the 22nd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Panacán's Eliseo Honesto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pablo Artal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 30th minute, Emanuel Ralondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Ralondo to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Siro Lohitzun during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Panacán fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! In the 54th minute there was a penalty for Monarrez FC. Silverio Giro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Armando Jerrold. 3-1. After some careless play in the Monarrez FC defense, Javier Fresco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pablo Artal. The Monarrez FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pablo Artal should have stopped the shot. Emanuel Ralondo charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Pablo Artal made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Javier Fresco sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Panacán's Emanuel Ralondo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pablo Artal. That made the score 3-4 after 85 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Feliciano Iraitz got free with Pablo Artal in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 96 minutes into the match, Monarrez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Honesto came free, but Pablo Artal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo Artal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliciano Iraitz in the 98th minute. When Emanuel Ralondo came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Panacán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Ralondo couldn't finish the play. Panacán played a much better game than Monarrez FC and deserved their victory. The Monarrez FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
