The tension between the Ranquet and the AC Port of Spain players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Gustave Verot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Neeshan La Forest recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th match minute, AC Port of Spain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bob Ramlogan to maneuver through the defense. Ranquet's Moïse Felten got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Ranquet defense, Neeshan La Forest kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yves Davesne. The Ranquet fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yves Davesne should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Ranquet:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AC Port of Spain:s goal. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for AC Port of Spain. Austin Mathur stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Yves Davesne. 0-2. After some careless play in the AC Port of Spain defense, Bacary Racine kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clyde Spencer. The AC Port of Spain fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clyde Spencer should have stopped the shot. When AC Port of Spain's Neeshan La Forest in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ranquet's goalie prevented a goal. Gustave Verot got his second yellow card in the match during the 39th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The audience was convinced that Bob Sealy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yves Davesne was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Mathieu Oudart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Clyde Spencer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yves Davesne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neeshan La Forest, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ranquet's Yves Davesne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neeshan La Forest in the 54th minute of play. Bob Sealy struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Yves Davesne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC Port of Spain. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Neeshan La Forest took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Yves Davesne to make any attempt to save it. 65 minutes into the game, Kevon Hussein cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Yves Davesne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bob Ramlogan kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Yves Davesne was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Neeshan La Forest showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 72 minute of play. After 84 played minutes Ranquet got a freekick which was hit by Jason Delporte. The referee felt a red card was in order, 86 minutes into the game, when Isaac Canal put in a rough tackle. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for AC Port of Spain. Austin Mathur stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Yves Davesne. 1-7. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ranquet fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! The referee gave AC Port of Spain a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Austin Mathur, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ranquet's Yves Davesne. 1-8. Yves Davesne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neeshan La Forest, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herbert Morard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clyde Spencer having to interfere. Yves Davesne had great luck who in the 102ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Neeshan La Forest from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When the final whistle sounded AC Port of Spain left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ranquet.
