Randy Negron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Nguyễn Pham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Pham didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Royce Seymour went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Elliott Pratt kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Flint Brantley came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Son La's Trần Diem. But to his dismay, Trần Diem quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nguyễn Binh during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Corey Lacy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Pham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, REAL OCALA FC's Royce Seymour nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nguyễn Pham made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Nguyễn Pham came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by REAL OCALA FC's Corey Lacy. But to his dismay, Corey Lacy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After 34 minutes, Royce Seymour made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Son La's Nguyễn Pham tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nguyễn Pham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Randy Negron, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 2-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 2-7 when Corey Lacy sped through Son La's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nguyễn Pham. Trần Diem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flint Brantley having to interfere. Nguyễn Pham was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Royce Seymour showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-8 in the 77 minute of play. The REAL OCALA FC fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when REAL OCALA FC's Randy Negron looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Royce Seymour managed to get in a good position for a shot. REAL OCALA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Royce Seymour was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Pham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 91 in the game by Corey Lacy from a close distance when the talented Nguyễn Pham managed to make a qualified save. Son La's players were relieved. Randy Negron struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Nguyễn Pham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for REAL OCALA FC. 95 minutes into the match, Son La's goal looked a bit too open when Corey Lacy came free, but Nguyễn Pham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded REAL OCALA FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Son La.
