Fausto Meazza might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wit Bobrowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fausto Meazza ran back to his position shaking his head. After 14 minutes, Eugeniusz Raszkiewicz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jerzmionki and the Bologna players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 minutes of play, Bologna's Fabio Santoro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wit Bobrowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th minute, Izydor Furlit got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Bologna's Fausto Meazza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wit Bobrowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Fausto Meazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wit Bobrowski having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Lukasz Poreda took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Ermanno Rea to make any attempt to save it. Waclaw Gomolka hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Izydor Furlits short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Ermanno Rea to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 40 minutes, Bogdan Wicherek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jerzmionki and the Bologna players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bogdan Wicherek kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st match minute, Jerzmionki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugeniusz Raszkiewicz to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the match, Jerzmionki's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Meazza came free, but Wit Bobrowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Artur Czeberowski fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jerzmionki's protests and gave Artur Czeberowski a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bologna booed when Jerzmionki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Czeberowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Bologna's Fedele Beattie got a free kick in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabio Santoro to make the kick off. Fabio Santoro might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wit Bobrowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabio Santoro ran back to his position shaking his head. Fausto Meazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bologna's Fabio Santoro got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th match minute, Bologna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuele Cagnetta to maneuver through the defense. Jerzmionki's Izydor Furlit got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wit Bobrowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Santoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Fabio Santoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bologna's Fabio Santoro in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jerzmionki's goalie prevented a goal. In the 85th minute, Fausto Meazza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wit Bobrowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. With his leg Wit Bobrowski managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Bologna's Fausto Meazza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 92nd minute of the match Leonard Barycz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ermanno Rea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bologna's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
