Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Domingos Bernal started the match with the kick off. Philmore Popo charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philmore Popo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, Philmore Popo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Monarrez FC's Silverio Giro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 6th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for AC Port of Spain. Bob Sealy scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pablo Artal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 16th minute, Bob Ramlogan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Monarrez FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Samuel Roland hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, Monarrez FC's goal looked a bit too open when Neeshan La Forest came free, but Pablo Artal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pablo Artal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neeshan La Forest in the 21st minute of the match. In the 28th minute Gualterio Rudolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clyde Spencer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC Port of Spain's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Silverio Giro was slow to take the kick. During this time Monarrez FC's players had a chance to rest. 30 minutes into the match, Gualterio Rudolfo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of AC Port of Spain's Clyde Spencer. Clyde Spencer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Monarrez FC's Pablo Artal got control of the ball when Bob Sealy tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Domingos Bernal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monarrez FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Bernal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clyde Spencer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualterio Rudolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Domingos Bernal notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of AC Port of Spain's Clyde Spencer. Clyde Spencer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Clyde Spencer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eleuterio Claris went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Neeshan La Forest to make the kick off. Gualterio Rudolfo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Clyde Spencer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Bernal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Domingos Bernal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Monarrez FC's Godfredo Gorri got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute, Monarrez FC's Domingos Bernal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Domingos Bernal took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clyde Spencer. Clyde Spencer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. In the 79th match minute, AC Port of Spain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by James Andrews to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neeshan La Forest in the 83rd minute of play forced Monarrez FC's goalkeeper Pablo Artal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
