Jose Indalecio made in the 3rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Håkan Kjellman. In the 4th minute Peter Snell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zafer Hürsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Micucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Kjellman in the 9th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zafer Hürsel was a little too slow when Alessandro Micucci got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Marcus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Snell in the 14th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alessandro Micucci in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zafer Hürsel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zafer Hürsel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Indalecio in the 19th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Indalecio came free, but Zafer Hürsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Kjellman in the 21st minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Zafer Hürsel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tage Glanselius in the 22nd minute of play. Zafer Hürsel came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Vykans Vikingar's Emmanuel Dennis. But to his dismay, Emmanuel Dennis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Marcus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Snell in the 32nd minute of the match. Tage Glanselius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Zafer Hürsel made a huge save. In the 41st minute, Emanuel Emander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Emander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Håkan Kjellman made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Håkan Kjellman got free with Marcus Ekrot in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot got control of the ball when Håkan Kjellman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Emander in the 60th minute of the match. After 61 minutes Vykans Vikingar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Johannes Botvidsson who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's corner Johannes Botvidsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcus Ekrot quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Emanuel Emander took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Marcus Ekrot to make any attempt to save it. Zafer Hürsel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmanuel Dennis in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st match minute, Vykans Vikingar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emmanuel Dennis to maneuver through the defense. FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's Valentin Ivarsson was substituted for Emanuel Emander. Vykans Vikingar's Genaro Remicio was substituted for Alessandro Micucci. In the 75th minute Börje Stål shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zafer Hürsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Indalecio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Håkan Kjellman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Remicio in the 95th minute of play forced FC Zenit Saint Petersburg's goalkeeper Zafer Hürsel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Genaro Remicio in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zafer Hürsel saved FC Zenit Saint Petersburg from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vykans Vikingar fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Zenit Saint Petersburg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
