The supporters of Casa Real de Savóia F.C. booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmelo Sandoval didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Morales. When Carmelo Sandoval fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GuateFortín's protests and gave Carmelo Sandoval a yellow card for diving instead. Carmelo Sandoval hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. When Carmelo Sandoval was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 23 minutes had been played. In the 23rd match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmelo Sandoval to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goalkeeper Arturo Pinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilian Favoretto. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arturo Pinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the match, Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Viscarra came free, but Santo Marcos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dennys Erazo charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennys Erazo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 48 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Dennys Erazo. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

GuateFortín's Arturo Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Anderson in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Toledo in the 56th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Arturo Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Amadeu Vidal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Casa Real de Savóia F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Arturo Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clóvis Toledo in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Toledo in the 63rd minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Arturo Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amadeu Vidal took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arturo Pinho. Arturo Pinho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. GuateFortín made a substitution. In the 78th minute, GuateFortín's Danilo Viscarra ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Santo Marcos. Santo Marcos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Claudinho Furtado hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. If Marcelo Quijada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Orlando Morales was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 88 minutes into the game, Clóvis Toledo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Arturo Pinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Santo Marcos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Misael Brizuela in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Casa Real de Savóia F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while GuateFortín had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
