The referee ignored Universidad de Oriente's protests and gave Erasmo Iranzo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute Misael Corrales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Yzarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipe Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Yzarra having to interfere. After 15 minutes, Felipe Ramos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Magia For Ever and the Universidad de Oriente players grew even worse after the yellow card. William Pacheco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valentin Oseguera in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Misael Corrales got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

William Pacheco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elizardo Beyso in the 53rd minute of play. Misael Corrales struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Domingos Yzarra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Magia For Ever. Felipe Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Roque Manzanedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of William Pacheco. La Magia For Ever's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roque Manzanedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Valentin Oseguera, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 82 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The William Pacheco was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elizardo Beyso in the 85th minute of play forced La Magia For Ever's goalkeeper William Pacheco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
