In the 4th minute of the match, Victoriano Sustrai tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bayan Gugovski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 6th minute of the match CA Quake got a corner. Merengue FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rogelio Sadurni ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Andres Ubelteso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Merengue FC's Bayan Gugovski did a great save. Silverio Cordearo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aquiles Urtsin went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Andres Ubelteso's late challenge caught a Merengue FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andres Ubelteso helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes CA Quake got a freekick which was hit by Andres Ubelteso. Silverio Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Urtsin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Merengue FC's Benjamim Mota got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 33rdth minute of the game Aquiles Urtsin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CA Quake's Silverio Cordearo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Abel Inko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CA Quake's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merengue FC the free kick. The supporters of Merengue FC booed when CA Quake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Inko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Ledesma hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. CA Quake's Silverio Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ediberto Sampaio in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of Merengue FC booed when CA Quake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Aznaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Urtsin in the 42nd minute of play forced CA Quake's goalkeeper Silverio Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andres Ubelteso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bayan Gugovski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After some careless play in the CA Quake defense, Aquiles Urtsin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silverio Cordearo. The CA Quake fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silverio Cordearo should have stopped the shot. After the first half Merengue FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of CA Quake booed when Merengue FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Urtsin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute Merengue FC were awarded a corner. Ediberto Sampaio went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Merengue FC's Ediberto Sampaio to fire away a dangerous shot which Silverio Cordearo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 68th minute, Aquiles Urtsin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Merengue FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 74th minute Victoriano Sustrai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bayan Gugovski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, CA Quake's goalkeeper Silverio Cordearo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ediberto Sampaio. In the 76th play minute Ediberto Sampaio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Silverio Cordearo. 0-4. 81 minutes into the game, Ediberto Sampaio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Silverio Cordearo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When CA Quake's Victoriano Sustrai in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Merengue FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 86 played minutes CA Quake got a freekick which was hit by Abel Inko. 88 minutes into the game, Aquiles Urtsin lined in a short shot 0-6 behind a frustrated Silverio Cordearo. A collision led to CA Quake getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Tomi Giusti hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Merengue FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CA Quake.
