Club Atlético Atlanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Cordareo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 21 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Jaizki came free, but Venancio Rocendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venancio Rocendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Jaizki in the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 23rd minute of play forced Falckner FC's goalkeeper Venancio Rocendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Germano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Damásio in the 29th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Carlos Germano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Mauro Cordareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venancio Rocendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Falckner FC's Ceferino Etxahun was substituted for Ovidio Bakar. 54 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Cordareo came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paolo Caradaro came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Venancio Rocendo could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gianluca Vialli in the 57th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Cordareo charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauro Cordareo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mauro Cordareo hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Falckner FC's Jose Baldovino was substituted for André Damásio. Venancio Rocendo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute, Fabio Artaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Artaldo to maneuver through the defense. Gianluca Vialli struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Carlos Germano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falckner FC. Jose Baldovino's late challenge caught a Club Atlético Atlanta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Baldovino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd minute, Jose Baldovino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Mauro Cordareo got a free kick in the 74th minute. When Jose Baldovino came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Falckner FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Baldovino couldn't finish the play. Eustaquio Jaizki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Venancio Rocendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ceferino Etxahun hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Ciro Ferdinand shot from long distance after 91 played minutes, a shot that Venancio Rocendo with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. Eustaquio Jaizki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Venancio Rocendo made a huge save. After 96 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Rojelio. The Falckner FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
